There are more ways to access OT than you might think.

Information about funding

Accessing occupational therapy is more straightforward than most people realise. I work with clients across a range of funding types including NDIS, Medicare, private health, and GP referrals, and I am happy to help you work out which option suits your situation.

If you are on the Fleurieu Peninsula and need support, there is likely a pathway that works for you.

NDIS

Occupational therapy is a registered support under the NDIS Capacity Building budget.

If OT is included in your plan, I can work with you on goals related to daily living, independence, and participation. I work with self-managed and plan-managed participants.

GP Referral (EPC)

Your GP can refer you to an occupational therapist under an Enhanced Primary Care plan. This gives you access to Medicare rebates for allied health services. Talk to your GP about whether this pathway suits your needs.

Medicare

If you have a chronic health condition, your GP may be able to refer you to an occupational therapist under a Chronic Disease Management plan, providing access to a Medicare rebate for up to five allied health visits per calendar year.

Private Health

Occupational therapy may be covered under your extras policy, depending on your level of cover. Rebates and gap payments vary between funds and policies so it's worth checking with your provider before your first appointment.
